The annual Lanzarote International Duathlon, organised by Club La Santa, took place on Saturday with the usual mix of pros, age groupers and people having a holiday and joining in for a bit of fun. Joerie Vansteelant won the 5k, 20k, 2.5k race in 00:59:06 (a couple of minutes off his 2007 winning time) with Emilio Montilla Fernandez (ESP) in second and Green Team member, Bob de Wolf (BEL) in third place. The women's race was won by Yvonne van Vlerken (NED) in 1:06:24 with a sprint finish between Mariska Kramer (NED) and Erika Csomor (HUN) being judged a dead heat for second and third places. Full results for the race are here and there are some images on the La Santa website: www.clublasanta.com
