Jason Spong and Kristin Moller win Powerman Germany Posted on: Sunday 17th May 2009 Bookmark This | Print This Page | Send To A Friend From the start Jason Spong set the pace for the first run (16km: 2 * 8km). The top German duatlete runners stayed close the whole time. However Spong showed for the first time to be even stronger on the bike. Only Zoltan Senczyszyn (GER) was able to overtake him only for a short while. The 2nd run (8km) was a victory run for Spong to finish first in 3:15:21. Benjamin Rossman (GER) sprinted in the last 100 meters to second place in 3:17:16 with Zoltan Senczysyzn finished five secons later. For the ladies, the surprise of the day was Kristin Moller (GER). The only woman to do the first 16 km on an extremely hilly course under one hour (59:38). Mariska Kramer (NED) and Susanne Svedson (DEN) remained within 2 minutes. Mariska Kramer was very strong on the bike, coming into the final run leading by over three minutes. However, the bike had taken it's toll, and Kristin Moller took the lead again to finish first in a time of 3:46:00. Mariska Kramer was second and Susanne Svendsen third.
