ZW MBV is happy to announce a long term cooperation with POWERMAN (www.powerman.org) for its annual duathlon race "MEMORIAL BENNY VANSTEELANT" in Torhout, Flanders - 'where duathlon lives'. Torhout is Benny's home town, city of birth and where he lived.

Both parties commit themselves to promote the sport of duathlon by their cooperation, and also to fulfill Benny's dream, to put duathlon on the map as a worldwide recognised sport.

The synergy of this duo will surely attract the attention of world class athletes in this discipline and lift duathlon to a higher level of recognition.

Benny was the best duathlete ever, until his fatal accident, with multiple World, European and National Championship titles to his name.

John Raadschelders, president of the International Powerman Association (IPA) said: "As everybody knows, Benny Vansteelant was our true Powerman ambassador. We are delighted to have a yearly Powerman race in a way we, together, take care that his true spirit for our duathlon sport will inspire us forever.”

Powerman Memorial Benny Vansteelant will take place for the very first time on June 6th 2010.
