There's news just in that Emma Dews has won Powerman Vlaanderen. It's Emma's first ever win on the Powerman circuit and although she tends to stick to age-group racing it will be no surprise to some to see this talented athlete win her first major international duathlon event. Michelle Parsons showed that her recent success in Ironman racing hasn't effected her duathlon legs as she finished in second place with Svendsen Susanne from Denmark in third.

Pre race favourite and Duathlon247 columnist, Joerie Vansteelant, had to settle for third as Anthony Le Duey, currently ranked sixth in the ITU world rankings, claimed top spot, closely followed by Lino Barruncho.

Jez Cox, also a duathlon247 columnist, finished in 32nd. Lee Piercy sadly pulled out on the second run due to illness.

A full race report will follow shortly.
