The final race in this year's Castle Combe series is set to be a big one – over 420 duathletes raced in November 2008.

The 2 mile run / 10 mile bike / 2 mile run ‘traffic-free’ event takes place on the Castle Combe race circuit in Wiltshire and is super-friendly for beginners, but provides great racing for the top athletes too. This year there'll be a heated viewing room for spectators, with instant results displayed on three TV screens - in case the weather's ‘chilly’.

The Big Adventure Store have donated an Argon 18 E-80 frameset for one lucky series age group winner and there's also cash prizes up for grabs for a new course record (currently 42:35.7 (male) and 47:41.1 (female)).

DB Max Precision Timing will provide instant results as well as bike lap splits for the ‘fastest lap’ challenge – current lap records held by Lee Piercy (4:08.0) and Emma Dews (4:36.3).

The race will be split into waves as follows:

11.30am - Wave 1 (MV40, MV50+)
12.15pm - Wave 2 (MSen)
12.55pm - Wave 3 (Female Wave including FBUCS)
1.30pm - Wave 4 (MBUCS)
