Elite MenTriathlon specialist Jarrod Shoemaker (USA) added the World Duathlon Championship to his World Championship Series triathlon win in Hamburg earlier this this year. Silver and Bronze went to Damian Derobert (FRA) and Jurgen Dereere (BEL) - but it was something of a blanket finish by all accounts, with all three shoulder-to-shoulder with just 200m to go. Rich Hobby was first Brit in seventh, Phil Wylie 13th, Adam Bowden 19th, Dave Roper 34th and defending champion Paul Amey was 35th Elite LadiesJust in from the elite ladies race at the ITU World Duathlon Championships: Vendula Frintova (CZE) has taken the title, Sandra Levenez (FRA) took the silver and Ana Burgos (ESP) bronze. British entrants Kat Grimmett and Non Stanford (who was competing for the Under-23 title), both crashed out during the cycle leg on the slick roads, as rain hit the Lowe's Motor Speedway to DNF.
