The 20th Anniversary of the infamous triandrun Ballbuster duathlon, organised by Human Race Events, will take place on Saturday 7th November on Box Hill, Dorking, Surrey, and with no less than 11 previous winners on the start line, it promises to be an unforgettable morning of racing.

The first ever Ballbuster was in a bleak December in 1990 only a few days before Christmas, and only 22 brave athletes toed the start line. Since then the event has gone from strength to strength, and now attracts 500 participants for both the sell-out spring and winter editions. It is now widely considered to be one of the toughest duathlons in the UK and involves an 8 mile run, a 24 mile bike and another 8 mile run, taking in the climb to the top of Box Hill a total of 5 times.

The 20th Anniversary edition next Saturday (November 7th) will be an event not to be missed and promises to be a spectacle like no other. It is fully sold out though, so if you're one of the lucky few who got in then you're in for a real treat.

John Lunt of Human Race commented 'With previous winners like Mark Stenning, James Gilfillan, Gary Gerrard (course record holder), David Vaughan, Mike Jubb, Richard Hunt, Dan Corner, Helen Dyke, Wayne Smith, Lee Piercy and Nigel Arnold (who won in 1993) all on the start list, we are expecting a showdown like no other. We are hugely excited about what is going to be a fantastic occasion and a great celebration of one of the most infamous duathlons in the Country. If you're coming along to take part or just cheer on friends and family, you'll be able to witness a fantastic spectacle and a special bit of history'.

If you missed out this time, the next triandrun Ballbuster will take place on Saturday 6th March 2010 and entries are now open.
