Sutz storms to victory at Powerman Malaysia

Seri Manjung, Perak, 8 November 2009 – It lived up to its reputation as the hottest Powerman race in the international powerman series, POWERMAN Malaysia 2009 was a blistering 36 degrees celcius on a clear cloudless morning.

Andy Sutz from Switzerland, the current Powerman World #1 duathlete won the race in two hours 45 mins, over five minutes ahead of second place finisher, Bryce Viegas from South Africa, with defending champion from Powerman Malaysia 2008, Jason Spong finishing third in 2 hours 54 minites. Shahrom Abdullah came in tops amongst the Asians in three hours four minutes followed by Melvin Wong from Singapore nine minutes later then Mohd Hafiz Wong Abdullah in three hours 17 minutes.

Radka Vodickova, from the Czech Republic ran away with the first prize in the Women’s Elite race in three hours eight minutes, followed by Camilla Lindholm from Sweden in three hours 11 minutes and finishing third was Caroline Koll (Team Bike Boutique) from South Africa in three hours 16 minutes.
